JARED SCHMIDT

Project Architect

Jared knew at an early age that Architecture would be his career path. As a child he discovered his love of collaboration and the creative process through constructing masterpieces with his Legos collection. With a passion like that, he had no choice but to become an Architect.

Jared joined BVA in 2021 as an Architect after working 15 years on many projects throughout Idaho and Texas.  His favorite projects were those that have a purpose to serve and better the community.  He was an integral part of many projects for St. Luke’s Healthcare System and most recently worked throughout Texas for the state’s fastest growing charter school.  Jared’s passion for Architecture drives him to create projects that are impactful and functional for his clients.

While Jared has a commitment to Architecture, he also enjoys giving back to his community.   He has been a Guardian Ad Litem advocating for children in foster care and has shown great leadership in his involvement in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in Idaho, supporting Architects and protecting the health, welfare and safety of the public.

Jared graduated from Washington State University in 2006 shortly after marrying his high school sweetheart.

Outside of work, Jared enjoys making new memories with his wife and two children in the mountains of Idaho.  Whether it is backpacking through the Sawtooth mountains, camping, mountain biking, or skiing at the local hill Jared enjoys experiencing all of Idaho with his family.
