Lead Architect

Brad Smith has been practicing in the commercial architecture industry in the Treasure Valley for the past 12 years. He started his career as an AIT with CSHQA after graduating from the University of Idaho with a master’s degree in architecture. In 2012 he joined the team at Babcock Design Group where he resided until he joined the BVA family in 2018 as their in-house architect.

Through his career he has been afforded the opportunity to work on several noteworthy projects in the Boise market including the renovation of the Idaho State Capital building, the 8th & Main Building and City Center Plaza. He has worked on hundreds of structures throughout the country, large and small approaching a billion dollars in constructed projects. Known as one of the kindest guys in the business, Brad brings a strong worth ethic and passion for the industry to the table.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys all of the outdoor activities living in Idaho has to offer. In addition he loves spending time with his wife Brooke, daughter Vivienne and dog Lola. His true passion professionally is designing and building things and he is committed to continuing to help grow the Treasure Valley skyline with BVA as well as design projects throughout the West.
